THREATENED & ENDANGERED SPECIES IN THE SOUTHEASTERN UNITED STATES

Below are listed but just a few of the 640 Threatened and Endangered Species located throughout the Southeastern United States. Out of the 640 species, Alabama leads the South with 117 followed by Florida with 112. Other Southeastern States comprise of Tennessee (90), Georgia (71), North Carolina (63), South Carolina (42), Kentucky (42), Mississippi (42), Arkansas (31) and Louisiana (30).
